What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Integration Facilitator - Skill Building Program position at GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF GREATER DETROIT?

Position Duties:
1. Under direction of the Digital Skills Supervisor, implement goals and objectives for curriculum, community integration activities, and community outing plans to support independence for trainees.
2. Under direction of the Digital Skills Supervisor, develop and implement strategies for activities to accommodate individual trainee skill levels regarding community integration activities.
3. Facilitate delivery of community integration activities, including outings, volunteer assignments and activities for trainees in alignment with the goals of the Digitability program and the Life Skills classroom experience.
4. Responsible for driving trainees in an agency vehicle, in the community while facilitating activities that focus on the goal of supporting trainee’s personal independence.
5. Provide facilitation and direction for trainees while they perform activities in the community.
6. Monitor trainees during all community activities.
7. Monitor trainees during program departure.
8. Responsible for keeping vehicle clean, completing vehicle maintenance checklist and possess working knowledge of on-board roadside equipment in the case of emergency. Training will be provided by Goodwill Management.
9. Provide daily progress notes regarding trainee’s community integration goal progress and functioning to trainees Case Manager.
10. Provide feedback to Case managers for programmatic goal monitoring and individual team meetings.
11. Provide daily accurate account of attendance for persons served to the Client Services Coordinator to ensure accurate, prompt, and timely billing.
12. Report computer, equipment, and vehicle malfunctions immediately to management staff.
13. Complete assigned funding sources and agency required training.
14. Participate in staff meetings, trainee services planning meetings and project meetings.
15. Perform other related duties as required.
