Summary:
The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for organizing and conducting periodic inventory counts, adjust quantities and locations, records and reports discrepancies to management while maintaining communication with supported internal customers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Analyze data: Collect and analyze inventory transaction data to identify discrepancies as well as investigate inventory variances.
- Develop systems: Create and maintain an inventory control system to ensure veracity of information at inventory sites.
- Maintain records: Generate detailed records of transactions and verify inventory counts.
- Reporting: Provide management with reports on inventory levels, including periodic cycle counts and annual physical counts, to assist in decision-making processes. Record and track inventory for weekly KPI reporting.
- Troubleshoot: Identify and resolve systematic issues related to inventory and ensure all inventory, transaction, reconciliation errors are corrected by months end.
- Support internal customers: Provide technical assistance and train all staff who execute inventory transaction. To coordinate and implement a cycle counting process.
- Coordinate logistics: Responsible for coordinating the logistics functions required for the annual physical inventory process. This involves ensuring that the necessary personnel and resources are available to successfully execute this process.
- Inventory System set-up: Create new items, sites, item class codes, verification of general ledger accounts, bill of materials, routing etc.
- Standard Cost Roll-up: work alongside with Procurement and ICS to realize the yearly standard cost roll-up in the ERP system.
- Other duties as assigned.
