JOB SUMMARY
The Dispatcher supervises and coordinates activities of the Warehouse Operations department including providing support services to the truck drivers, operations supply chain, and vendors and routing, scheduling and training employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises and coordinates activities of the department and provides support to the truck drivers, operations supply chain, and vendors.
- Reports any hazardous conditions to their supervisor and the Human Resources Department immediately.
- Ensures that all reports are completed in a timely fashion.
- Partners with Donations team to help conduct special events and pickups.
- Monitors telematic devices to observe employee demeanor, technical accuracy, and conformity to company policies.
- Provides training on safety and customer service.
- Lead on yard and dock maintenance responsibilities.
- Work closely with drivers to help with truck maintenance including but not limited to submitting maintenance repair reports to vendors and overseeing traffic control.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 years of experience in warehouse operations or related field.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification within 3 months.
- Must have excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Supervisory experience is a plus.
- Must be able to write legibly.
- Ability to read maps and familiarity with the Bay Area is required.
- Able to identify and resolves problems in a timely manner
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
- Highly punctual.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
