THE POSITION
This position’s key responsibilities include:
- Safely operate a vehicle to collect, transport and/or delivery donations, processed merchandise and other materials, as directed.
- Load and unload donations from trucks and trailers and move donations as required.
- Performs daily vehicle maintenance checks and report any malfunction of truck or equipment to management immediately and ensures meets DOT standards.
- Ensures daily work requirements are met, maintaining quality and quantity performance, including, but not limited to stocking vehicles with adequate PPE.
- Processes and submits paperwork as directed and reviews reporting.
- Assist other departments within agency when needed, such as delays in driving assignments.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS: (The stuff you must have)
- Must have and maintain a valid New York State Commercial Drivers’ License (CDL) Class A, clean MVR with no DUI’s and no reckless operation.
- 1 year of driving experience
- Must meet all DOT requirements.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Is reliable and consistently comes to work on time and as scheduled.
- Must be able to lift, exert, push, pull, carry or otherwise move up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently and/or up to 20 pounds constantly with no support.
- Knowledge of proper loading and unloading techniques to assure safe transportation.

Goodwill regularly evaluates our compensation and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive. Starting pay will be based on a candidate’s experience, skills and education.
