Assist to make therapy sessions productive under the supervision of the physical therapist or physical therapist assistant, occupational or occupational therapy assistant, keep the therapy treatment area clean and organized, perform administrative duties that facilitate the efficient functioning of the therapy department.
Pay rate: $19 hour
Job Duties
- Manage the front desk reception area and greet residents.
- Provide assistance to the rehabilitation team and department.
- File, copy, scan and fax documentation done by therapists in the department.
- Maintain forms and supplies needed within the department.
- Assist with patient transportation.
- Assist the Rehab Director(s) in projects that support the department.
- Support community programming by participating in various educational/exercise themed events.
- The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
- Basic education: High school diploma or General education degree (GED); preferred education requirement: Bachelors degree in Kinesiology, Biology or similar; Pre-PT or Pre-OT student preferred
- Experience: 1-2 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Takes initiative and has excellent computer skills
- Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills
- Effective communication and organizational skills with strong focus on customer service
- Able to work independently in a fast paced environment
- Compassionate individual who has experience working with geriatric patients
