Air Drill/Planter Recon Technician 

About the Position:
Department: Service
Reports to: Service Dispatcher
Supervises: N/A

Purpose:

Reconditions and services air drills and planters around the Gooseneck Implement service area.  Will also prepare and install technology upgrades on designated equipment.  

Responsibilities:

·         Reconditions and assembles all types of seeding equipment and merchandise offered for sale by the dealership. 

·         Prepare and install technology upgrades on designated equipment. 

·         Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required. 

·         Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and timely fashion. 

·         Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments. 

·         Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments. 

·         Accounts for all time and material used in performing assigned duties. 

·         May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

·         Ability to work away from home, including overnight stays 1 to 3 nights a week. 

·         Ability to assemble machinery components. 

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

·         Ability to use basic computer functions. 

·         Ability to lift at least 50 pounds. 

·         Strong customer service skills. 

·         Strong attention to detail. 

·         High School Diploma or equivalent experience preferred.  

·         Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license. 

·         Submission of driving authorization for insurability check. 

·         Willing to train individuals with a desire to learn and a strong work ethic.
