Gordy’s Marina is looking for an individual that possesses a strong work ethic, managerial skills to work as a team leader and the ability to improve the overall operations of the business. - All Lakefront Marina and Abbey Marina operations
- Boat Rentals
- Boat Club
- Ski School
- Fuel operations
- Help with seasonal minor lakefront service.
- Lakefront summer storage – in/out, buoys, lifts.
- Abbey summer storage – cover/uncover services.
- Fall/Spring set up and takedown – piers, fuel, electric, water, etc. at Lakefront and Abbey location.
Customer Service
· Train and manage the Marina team in customer relations, selling techniques and proper processes.
· Ensure that the highest levels of customer care is demonstrated by every Marina team member.
· Ensure that customer inconveniences, complaints and misunderstandings are dealt with fairly and quickly.
· Handle customer complaints that demand management’s attention.
· Ensure that customer’s experience at the Marina is of the highest quality.
· Conduct all business in accordance with the Gordy’s Mission and Values.
Operations
· Strive to streamline operations to make the department as efficient and effective as possible.
· Drive profitability of the Marina dept by finding ways to increase revenue and/or decrease expenses.
· Create and implement processes and procedures to ensure consistent methods being used by seasonal staff.
· Responsible for the management of all Marina inventory including rental boats, boat club boats, ski/wakeboard/tube equipment, cleaning supplies, etc.
· Ensure policies and procedures are followed by all team members.
· Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the Marina at all times.
· Manage all special events organized by the Marina (Big Foot Rec program, Wakeboard Tournament, etc).
· Help manage the needs of the Marina for the seasonal transitional periods (summer to fall, spring to summer).
· Make sure that safety is always being demonstrated by all team members.
Employee Relations
· Manage performance of all seasonal team members (with HR).
· Ensure Marina team members are properly motivated to execute the operational needs of the department.
· Manage the seasonal schedule to ensure the Marina is always properly staffed and that there is appropriate coverage.
· Address team members that are under performing and work with those individuals to improve their performance.
· Handle employee concerns or complaints fairly and quickly.
· Improve team morale by recognizing individuals that are exceeding performance expectations.
