The AML Specialist is a critical position in the banking industry. This position will be a lead role in assisting leadership with monitoring and analyzing financial transactions and reporting and preventing suspicious activity to mitigate financial crimes.

The AML Specialist is a critical position in the banking industry. This position will be a lead role in assisting leadership with monitoring and analyzing financial transactions and reporting and preventing suspicious activity to mitigate financial crimes.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with many cross functional teams and stakeholders.
- Have knowledge of current AML regulations and the ability to absorb new knowledge and information to develop new skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing roles and requests.
- Ability to articulate key findings and results both written and verbally.
- Monitor and evaluate customer transactions for suspicious activity and potential trends.
- Investigate and gather additional information when suspicious activity is identified.
- Monitor other reporting used to identify and mitigate AML risk and escalate when necessary.
- Ability to create reports detailing findings.
- 2 years of AML experience
- Solid understanding of government regulations with particular emphasis on the AML.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Background in FinTech beneficial.
- CAM's Certification or willingness to obtain designation.
- Ability to interact with various departments and leadership of all levels.
- Ability to lead implementation of process changes necessary to comply with regulations.
