Salary Range: $15.00 - $15.00 Hourly
Description
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The OneLess Intern will develop valuable leadership and administrative skills to effectively minister to children-at-risk this year and in the future. The OneLess Intern will be responsible to the following:
- Provide support and coordination for Embrace groups for young, single moms
- Assist with support the Aspire mentoring program
- Assist with the planning, volunteer coordination, and implementation of summer camps for children in foster care & at-risk kids; and Stop the Trafficking 5K event
- Provide social media support for OneLess ministry events, groups, and activities
- Assist with cleaning, organizing the OneLess storage area(s)
- Gain an understanding of the church database & communication systems and utilize to support OneLess events
- Attend OneLess department meetings and all-staff meetings
- Communicate professionally via phone/email with staff and volunteers
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS
- Experience required: High School diploma required, prefer 2 years of college completed
- Educational interest in Ministry, Social Services, or other relevant field
- Demonstrate a personal passion to minister to people within the context of the local church
- Ability to self-motivate and take ownership of projects and tasks assigned
- Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit
- Has a commitment to personal and active participation in the fulfillment of the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18-20)
- We expect our interns to strive for cooperation and team building among the Grace Church staff and volunteers, dealing with conflict in a grace filled, Biblical way
- Exhibits a lifestyle appropriate to a person in public Christian ministry by conducting life with the utmost integrity in all situations
- Consistent attendance and participation in Grace Church and involvement in the life of the church
