I have an immediate need for an in-home 9th grade Algebra 1 tutor on Bainbridge Island near the Bainbridge Historical Museum & the Bainbridge Island City Hall. The student is in the 9th grade attending Bainbridge High School. He needs to work with at tutor for Algebra 1.
The student is significantly behind in understanding Algebra 1 concepts. His parents are looking for an intensive repair of his math skills to bring him up to grade level. Due to the extent of the gaps in his understanding, a patient and skilled tutor is essential to help the student regain confidence in his math abilities.
The goals are to catch the student up on the core concepts of Algebra 1 and provide an intensive focus on building his math foundation, ensuring he is well-prepared for future math courses.
The student wants 1 to 2 hour sessions 2 times a week; between 3pm-7pm on Friday and 10am-7pm on Saturday.
Job Requirements
- Tutor must be willing to work in person, face to face at the student's home on Bainbridge Island near the Bainbridge Historical Museum & the Bainbridge Island City Hall.
- Tutor must be available for 1 to 2 hour sessions 2 times a week; between 3pm-7pm on Friday and 10am-7pm on Saturday.
- Minimal travel required to meet with student (you decide the distance you are willing to travel, typically 5-10 miles)
- Due to insurance requirements applicants must not be a minor.
Student Availability
FRI 4pm-7pm
SAT 10am-7pm
