I have an immediate need for an in-college Calculus 1 tutor in Aiken next to the Hitchcock Woods Clark Road Entrance. The student is a Freshman in college attending University of South Carolina. She needs to work with a tutor for her Calculus 1 course.
Teh student has a math disability where she mixes up numbers and the teacher teaches in a specific way that does not allow any type of other ways to solve equations.
The student would like to understand the concepts better and get a better understanding of derivatives.
The student wants 1 hour sessions 2 days a week during her available times. She is available Monday 12pm-3pm & 6pm-7pm, Wednesday 4pm-7pm, and Friday 12pm-3pm.
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Calculus 1 -This course is designed to help students develop mathematical reasoning and real-world skills in analyzing verbal and written descriptions, translating them into algebraic, geometric, trigonometric and statistical statements and applying them to solve problems in fabrication, manufacturing, and business.
Job Requirements
- Tutor must be willing to work in person, face to face at the student's home in Aiken next to the Hitchcock Woods Clark Road Entrance.
- Tutor must be available for 1 hour sessions 2 times a week during student's available times. She is available Monday 12pm-3pm & 6pm-7pm, Wednesday 4pm-7pm, and Friday 12pm-3pm.
- Minimal travel required to meet with student (you decide the distance you are willing to travel, typically 5-10 miles)
- Due to insurance requirements applicants must not be a minor.
Student Availability
MON 12pm-3pm & 6pm-7pm
WED 4pm-7pm
FRI 12pm-3pm
