SUMMARY:
The Dosimetrist is a member of the Radiation Therapy planning team who is thoroughly familiar with the physical and geometric characteristics of the radiation equipment and radioactive sources commonly employed, and has the training and expertise necessary to measure and generate radiation dose distributions and calculations under the direction of the Radiation Therapy Physicist and the Radiation Oncologist.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Certificate, Bachelors, or Masters in a JRCERT approved Dosimetry program.
- Complete a JRCERT approved Radiation Therapy Program preferred.
- Current license as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist.
- If Board eligible must satisfy after 1 year of completing an accredited Dosimetry Program.
- Radiation Therapy certification through ARRT preferred.
