Job Description
Painters preform the day to day completion of commercial painting projects according to project specifications and there loading for shipment utilizing overhead cranes.
Position Responsibilities:
- Applies coatings according to product data sheets using full range of application methods. Mainly pressure pot and airless methods utilized.
- Cleaning, and maintaining all painting equipment, filters, and paint booth.
- Performs painting process in accordance with required quality standards.
- Completes reports for dry film thickness readings, ambient atmospheric conditions, and paint batch numbers.
- Follows oral and/or written instructions.
- Performs work safely.
- Properly disposes of hazardous paint and paint waste materials.
Required Skills and Experience
- Physical ability to perform assigned tasks as directed.
- Knowledge of operating hand and power tools of all types.
- Basic knowledge of safe rigging and overhead crane operation.
- Solid knowledge of the preparation and application of paints and surface preparation of materials to a wide variety of surfaces.
- Must be on time, professional, have a strong work ethic, and be able to communicate well with others.
- Attention to detail and ability to complete jobs right the first time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
