Summary : This position is responsible for investigating, evaluating and negotiating settlement of complex PL Casualty Liability Claims to promote retention or purchase of insurance.
What You’ll Be Doing :
- Pursuant to Company line of business strategies, statutory regulations and good faith claim settlement practices; investigates, evaluates and adjusts assigned complex liability claims within limit of authority. Summarizes cases in excess of authority and submits to managers / specialists for approval.
- Demonstrates technical proficiency, allowing for the handling of more complex claims with minimal supervision.
- Establishes and maintains positive relationships with both internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service.
- Regular and effective communication with our agents including face-to-face visits when required to assist in building effective working relationships.
- Assist other departments (when required) with investigations.
- Demonstrates effectiveness and efficiencies in handling workload with limited supervision or direction.
- Reports large losses and presents claims to the CAB Committee. Ensures appropriate reinsurance reporting is made on claims.
