Granite is seeking an experienced Civil CAD Technician to fill the following position in Manchester, NH:
- Civil CAD Technician – 10 years of experience in CAD drafting.
Essential Duties/Functions:
- Converts preliminary concepts into engineering designs and drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Processes base survey plans by converting base maps to Granite drafting standards.
- Obtains and processes topographic data (from LiDAR, satellite, sonar, ground surveys, etc.) for use on the projects.
- Prepare detailed drawings and plans for civil engineering projects using AutoCAD software.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Create and modify drawings for site layouts, grading plans, utility plans, and other civil infrastructure components.
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and company guidelines.
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback from engineers and clients.
- Maintain organized records of all drawings and project documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of project submittals to municipalities and State departments.
- Maintains AutoCAD detail library.
- Maintains Company CAD Standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Exhibit a professional attitude, self-motivation, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in teams, with a keen attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Solid foundation in trigonometry and geometry, along with working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office suite.
- The ideal candidate will be well organized, work well with others, and have a strong background in AutoCAD Drafting and Design.
- Candidates for this position must be able to work in a busy, fast-paced environment and be able to assemble plan sheets and plan sets with minimum instruction and supervision.
