Position Summary
The Production Designer I is an entry-level creative position that combines technical production expertise with strategic design thinking. This role is responsible for preparing, formatting, and setting up design files for print and signage production while contributing to the creative process and maintaining brand standards. The Production Designer I supports various internal clients by executing production-level design tasks and providing creative input on technical feasibility.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Consistently delivers high-quality service to all clientsDevelops, designs, and executes production-ready artwork following brand guidelines and technical specificationsWorks closely with Art Director and senior staff to organize, plan, and prioritize work by developing specific goals and plans to accomplish workPrepares and formats files for various printing processes including digital, offset, and large format printing, ensuring all technical specifications are metConceptualizes and develops practical solutions for production challenges while maintaining design integrityEnsures user friendliness and technical accuracy in both print and digital projectsWorks with Data Processing / Pre-Media team in the design / branding of documents with variable dataReviews and preflights incoming files from clients and designers, identifying and resolving potential production issues before they reach the printing stageSets up files with proper bleeds, crop marks, color settings, and resolution requirements for different printing applications and substratesAssists in facilitating team and client meetings to address technical requirements and creative solutionsPerforms color separations, creates print-ready PDFs, and manages file versions and archivingCreates and modifies templates for common print items while ensuring design consistencyOrganizes and maintains digital assets within the company's digital asset management system, ensuring proper file naming, versioning, and accessibilityConducts quality checks on proofs and printed materialsOther duties as assigned and may assist in other departments on an as-needed basisMinimum Job Requirements
4-year college degree in a related field and / or associate's degree in graphic design is preferred0-2 years of relevant design and print production experienceStrong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word and PowerPoint) requiredUnderstanding of print production processes, color management, and file preparationStrong sense of concept development and problem-solving abilitiesKnowledge of various file formats and their appropriate uses in productionAttention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications preciselyUnderstanding of typography and layout principlesSelf-starter willing to learn, develop, and polish the skills needed to succeed in a creative agency environmentExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaborativelyComplete all required training courses upon hire and annually thereafterMaintain compliance with all company policies and proceduresWorking Conditions
