- Job Title: Field Worker
- Location: Kaumualii Highway, Waimea, HI 96796
- Duration: 6 Months (Possibly extendable)
- Pay: $21.90/hr on W2 without benefits
- Shift: 1st shift
Note- The applicant will need to be a Kauai resident with a GED/Diploma and excellent computer skills.
Responsibilities:
The Research Worker will perform a variety of routine tasks associated with the seed research program.
Primary tasks will include operation of specialty seed preparation equipment such as the caruosel, sortation device, transfer jig and verifier. Worker will sort and process ears or seeds samples for shipment. Worker will use speciality software to track, weigh and keep inventory of seed samples. Worker will prepare and print row tags, shelling envelopes, maps, planting stakes and row bands.
Additional tasks will include pollination of corn plants and harvest of corn ears according to established research protocols. The type of task will be dependent on the stage of the crop and will be seasonal in nature.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
