Position Overview
As a PCU RN, you'll provide specialized intermediate care to patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessment. Working 12-hour night shifts, you'll be an integral part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering excellence in patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Monitor and evaluate patient conditions, documenting changes and implementing appropriate interventions
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
- Provide patient and family education regarding care plans and health management
- Mentor and support nursing students and new team members
- Maintain compliance with all safety and quality standards
Required Qualifications
- Current Washington State RN license
- BSN from an accredited nursing program
- Minimum 1 year of PCU nursing experience
- Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Current NRP certification from American Academy of Pediatrics
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
