The Assessment Service Coordinator has primary responsibility to collaborate with the Assessment and Intervention Center Mental Health Therapist regarding the delivery of assessments, caseload management and determination of individual, group and family services while promoting the goals, objectives and mission of the organization. The Assessment Service Coordinator is an unclassified employee appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the Greene County Juvenile Court Judge under the provisions of 2151.13 and 2152.42 of the Ohio Revised Code.Full-time (35 hours/week)

Assessment: Screen referrals pursuant to criteria; facilitate receiving and processing of youth into and out of the program and/or facility; interview court personnel, law enforcement and other social services professionals; interview youth; interview parent or legal guardian; administer risk, need and responsivity assessments including but not limited to Ohio Youth Assessment System (OYAS), mental health screening, family needs assessment and human trafficking assessment; function as OYAS Administrator; track administration of assessments; present case review weekly to inter-disciplinary Assessment Team; establish Personal Program Plans for youth referred to the juvenile court Intervention Center.2. Records/Reports: Function as primary manager of facility case records; track and manage request for records; coordinate case record audits; maintain records retention and destruction schedule; manage case-load; maintain case files and confidentiality of records in accordance with applicable law; maintain availability of assessment instruments; monitor progress; maintain contact list of community resources; maintain Assessment Team Meeting Minutes; enter data into agency software programs; generate additional reports, as needed.3. Public Relations: Promote the program and consult with professionals including but not limited to court officials, mental health practitioners, social services workers, medical personnel, university personnel, parents/guardians, students, case workers, school officials, law enforcement; attend court hearings; serve as court representative at Family and Children First Cluster Meetings; participate in agency interview and staff selection process; conduct agency tours, as needed.4. Meetings/Committees: Assessment Team Meetings; Program Review Meetings; Family and Children First Cluster Meetings; other meetings and committees, as needed.5. Quality Assurance: Conduct, track and analyze program data; provide analysis to inform establishment of annual goals; engage in program development, including writing policies and procedures; support development and delivery of staff training; ensure safety and hygiene of work environment; assist with program monitoring by the Ohio Department of Youth Services, including site reviews and annual audits.6. Program Delivery: Ensure compliance with program rules, policies and procedures; intervene and direct crisis intervention pursuant to policy and CPI training; assist in Intervention Center programming including transportation, as needed; provide staff training; provide consultation and support regarding documentation; develop and revise policy and procedures, including program descriptions.7. Support Functions: Research; policy review; special projects.

WORK CONDITIONS (Examples may not be comprehensive): The Assessment and Intervention Center is a low security office and group activity setting for male and female youth ages 12-18. Youth interactions may occur with youth under the age of 12. The population consists of at-risk, emotionally disturbed and/or potentially violent youth. There is potential for exposure to communicable diseases and/or parasites. All workers are mandated reporters required to report harassment, abuse and/or neglect pursuant to established policy and procedure. Work is to be conducted, at times, in a fast-paced environment involving deadlines.Routine physical requirements include reaching, stooping, kneeling, standing, walking, writing/keyboarding, talking, hearing, seeing, driving and repetitive motions. Tasks minimally require exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Additional physical requirements may include self-defense maneuvers pursuant to crisis prevention training and/or exertion resulting from first aid/CPR/AED interventions.Work schedule is flexible except that the employee is required to be present at the Assessment and Intervention Center or Juvenile Justice Complex primarily during core times (Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm). Field visits are not a core function of the position except in special circumstances and in relation to a safety plan. On call status outside of core hours is possible; full-time (35 hours per one-week pay period). Variable shifts may be required. The Assessment Service Coordinator is classified as a non-essential worker and is not required to report to work during inclement weather and/or other emergencies. Full-time position is FLSA: Exempt.TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT (Examples may not be comprehensive): Orientation training in policies, procedures and practices with additional training annually.
