What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contracts Specialist position at Greene Resources?
Job Description:
The Contracts group supports the business units for RTI across our domestic client base, including Social, Statistical, and Environmental Science (SSES), Discovery Sciences (DS), Innovation Advisors (IA), and Technology Advancement & Commercialization (TAC) units. Our domestic business units primarily performs work on contracts and grants with the U.S. Federal Government. We support the contractual needs of the business units with regard to both the client and our subcontractors by mitigating risk and ensuring compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Performing research and analysis of contract requirements, special provisions, statutes, and regulations.
- Updating internal systems to reflect contract terms; assisting in crafting advice to research staff, finance personnel, and other stakeholders.
- Attending meetings, presentations, and other forums to better understand the technical business.
- Participating in the preparation of proposals to clients and the administration of contracts, including reviewing, drafting, editing, and negotiating contractual terms and conditions.
- Preparing teaming agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other documents.
- Creating, drafting, and modifying terms and conditions to meet the requirements of individual contractual situations.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
