Landscape Estimator

Position Overview:

The Landscape Estimator is responsible for estimating off of blueprints and specs to present our client with competitive bids for new projects. They will be the point person for communication regarding bid invites, updates, revisions and contract scope review.

Job Description:

Greener Group is looking for an experienced Landscape Construction Estimator for our busy Lowell, MA office to support our reputable and established, yet small business feel company as well as continuing to support our desire to grow in efficiencies and profitability. The estimator receives blueprints/plans, prepares bids and submittals for clients, and works with foreman/supervisors when a bid is won. This position is office based, out of our Lowell office, and is a full-time, Monday through Friday role with Saturdays as needed to keep up with workload and estimate deadlines. Some visits will be required during the bid process.

Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities):

• 5 years of landscape estimating experience
• Experience preparing and submitting estimates, progress reports and cost tracking reports to clients and management
• Performed quantity take offs for projects valued up to 5-10 millions dollars
• Ability to read and interpret plans
• Knowledge of plants and basic understanding of irrigation principles, components, and working knowledge of a wide variety of landscape and hardscape materials and uses

Travel %: 15 %Local to MA and NH

Additional Abilities Required:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time, use hands to perform manual tasks, and lift or move up to 50 pounds (or more with assistance).
• Must be able to speak and communicate verbally with co-workers, customers, vendors, etc. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when machines are running.
