Position Summary :
GreenWaste is seeking to fill the position of Assistant General Manager to provide support to one or more Processing Facilities. This role's main function will manage the performance of day-to-day operations of the Hayward processing facility. The Assistant General Manager is responsible for all aspects of facility management, including supervising / scheduling all personnel, the maintenance and operation of all facility equipment and processes, managing expenses and budgets, leading any efforts toward expansion and growth, and is responsible for maintaining the overall safety of employees, contractors, and visitors.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
- Ensures facility compliance for all federal and state regulations, safety regulations, Company policies, and other local agencies' requirements.
- Monitor budget and operating metrics while optimizing processes, procedures, and performance in a safe and efficient manner.
- Organizes and schedules all necessary personnel to accomplish daily operational needs.
- Manages selection, training, recruitment and retention efforts, employee discipline actions, and talent development efforts in partnership with Human Resources.
- Lead weekly staff meetings and enforce Company policies and procedures.
- Determine workflow, staffing levels, monitors equipment operations and maintenance, all while fostering a work environment based on teamwork and cooperation.
- Complete all necessary reporting.
- Manage relationships with all outside contractors and customers.

Work Environment :
Typical work week is Monday through Friday 7am-4 : 30pm. On-call 24-hour, 7 days per week in event of emergency. Will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions from time to time.
Compensation and Benefits :

Position Information :
The available General Manager position is a full-time exempt position. Standard work is Monday - Friday. This position is required to be full-time on site, and reports to the line of business VP. This position may include driving to other facilities and the employee will be provided access to a shared pool vehicle or reimbursed according to federal standards for mileage. This position is a main contact for site emergencies. Availability after hours, early mornings, evenings and weekends may be necessary from time to time.
