Overview:
Greenwood Industries is seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Yard Associate/ Delivery Driver to join our team in Glastonbury, CT. As a Warehouse Associate/ Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for various tasks related to Warehouse and delivery operations, including Forklift operation, loading and unloading materials, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment, driving construction materials to and from job sites. This is a full-time position with competitive pay.
Responsibilities:
· Operate forklifts and move materials and equipment within the yard and warehouse
· Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment and techniques
· Assist in the rigging and securing of loads for transport
· Stage materials for upcoming roofing jobs
· Build and assemble pallets, and other packaging materials as needed
· Maintain inventory control of roofing material
· Perform general maintenance tasks to keep the yard and warehouse clean and organized
· Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, including OSHA regulations
· Assist with shipping and receiving duties as required
· Support off-site maintenance and delivery/pick-up assignments
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks
· Must have Driver’s License and possess or be able to acquire Department of Transportation Medical card which will require physical and drug testing
· Ability to work in a warehouse facility; indoors and frequently outside
· Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures
· Ability to safely lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
· Attention to detail and organizational skills
· Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
