Position Overview:
The Manufacturing Supervisor will oversee and manage all aspects of the manufacturing process, ensuring efficient operations, adherence to quality standards, and timely project completion. This individual will lead a team of technicians and assembly personnel, coordinate workflows, manage production schedules, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements. The Manufacturing Supervisor will also be responsible for maintaining a high standard of work quality, continuous improvement initiatives, and fostering a positive, collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise work in progress and maintain shop production schedule
- Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and safely, meeting customer delivery expectations
- Ensure that all company and industry regulated quality standards are maintained on all fabricated equipment
- Oversee all personnel issues to include performance, employee relation issues, and disciplinary process in conjunction with company policies and management
- Plan and direct layout of equipment, workflow, and assembly methods
- Organize and implement shop-mentoring program for new and or inexperienced fabricators
- Ensure compliance to Blueprints through the use of documentation, maintenance, and development
- Ensure quality meets company standards on all jobs
- Communicate with all other departments to ensure proper workflow and timely completion of projects
- Communicate with external customers as required
- Ensure all members of shop team have turned in time sheets, both accurately and timely
- Participate in counting inventory for cycle counts and maintain stock (e.g., tag, stack, sort, keep organized)
- Ensure production area is kept clean and organized and a professional environment is maintained in all shop areas
- Regularly make suggestions for improvement and work on continuous improvement projects for lean, quality and safety
- Work extended hours as per job requirements
What we need you to have:
- Five (5) years of professional electrical panel building experience required
- Strong leadership, supervisory skills, organization, problem solving
- Basic project management skills
- Ability to meet challenging deadlines in an efficient and profitable manner
- Some basic computer knowledge – MS Outlook email and MS Excel
- Ability to read Blueprints and engineering fabrication drawings
- Interpret data from electrical and mechanical diagrams and schematics
- Mount electrical components including circuit breakers, transformers, relays, contactors, terminals, input/output devices and/or all other related industrial control devices
- Perform wiring of electrical components and cable assemblies
- Strong mechanical skills
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to interact with customers and vendors while representing company in a professional manner
- Responsible, reliable, and flexible in order to best service customer’s requirements and project deadlines
- Understanding of NEC & NFPA79 codes
- Valid driver’s license
- Drug free
What we’d love you to have:
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred
