Immediately hiring Yard Jockeys (Switchers) for our Alburtis, PA location. Our Drivers are Essential Workers! Drivers are HOME every day!

Grocery Haulers has opportunities for reliable Yard Jockey/Shuttle/CDL-A Drivers

All applicants should be able to work varying shifts. As a dedicated carrier, our mission is to leverage our scale and our knowledge of information technology and routing systems. $26.66 per hour/5x12 hour shifts (OT over 40 hours when completing Jockey/Shuttle work)

-This position may require, at times, to fill in for one of our regular truck drivers to complete a run to a local depot. If this is required, the Yard Jockey/Shuttle driver will receive normal wage pay for the day to include; mileage and all activities.

-As long as the Yard Jockey/Shuttle driver completes their 5-day work week as instructed by GHI, regardless if they Jockey, Shuttle or do Depot Work, they will never make less that the $1866.20 per week. For less than 5-day week, daily pay is $373.24 for Yard Jockey/Shuttle position.

-In general, shifts will be 5x12 hours.

Requirements:

· Valid and current Class A CDL

· Minimum of 23 years of age

· Must have 2-year verifiable tractor trailer driving experience

· All MVRs must meet the minimum qualifications

· Ability to comply and adhere to FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations)

· Complete Pre-Trip and Post-Trips Inspections

· Communication with Dispatch via in-cab electronic device

Responsibilities:

- Operate yard jockey equipment to move trailers within the yard efficiently and on the road effectively.
- Safely maneuver tractor-trailers in tight spaces to transport goods.
- Follow established routes for timely delivery and pick-up of goods.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate yard activities.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing duties.

For Truck Drivers– daily tasks could include repeatedly lifting about 50 lbs., pulling stacks of trays weighing approximately 25 to 50 pounds and loading/unloading grocery product from trailer

Must be able to work a split work week (not have 2 consecutive days off)
