What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Carpenter position at Ground Builders?
Build and lead crew to install carpentry projects at customers properties, this will be accomplished by:
- Install projects to plan and specs that are provided by the project manager
- Coordinate the delivery of materials to keep project moving, and to finish on time
- Troubleshoot problems as they arise
- Coordinate with project manager to schedule additional help on site as needed.
- Maintain a safe, productive and tidy work site at all times.
- Address personnel issues in a timely and professional manner
- Train crew on safe and proper methods of work completion
- Communication with customer as needed
- Maintain a clean truck and trailer
- Keep inventory stocked up in your job trailer.
Reports to:
- Carpentry Manager
The work environment will consist of outdoor work in the seasonal elements:
- Moderate to high heat
- Occasional rain
- Cold and snow in winter
Use of equipment to complete jobs:
- Power tools
- Ladders
- Trucks and Trailer
Occasional loud noises with equipment use:
- Hearing protection provided and required
Presence of airborne debris:
- Eye protection provided and required
- Respiratory protection provided and required
Working Days and Hours:
- Monday through Friday 7am - 5pm During the season
- May need to work later or earlier as needed
- Saturdays as needed
- Must be available for snow events
Qualifications:
- Valid Drivers License (Required)
- 5 years carpentry experience (Preferred)
- Strong Customer Service Skills (Required)
