What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Estimator position at Grounds Control Of Huntsville Inc?
An ideal candidate would be motivated and knowledgeable, with a focus on detail and creativity. The core requirements of the Landscape Estimator are to translate RFP’s, architectural drawings, client requests, and other specifications into accurate, reliable, and realistic proposals for projects, as well as perform those tasks to support the required production of proposals. This requires research, site visits, and frequent communication with CRM’s, city planners and clients. The resulting proposal has a direct impact on the entire process of construction and ultimately the satisfaction of our customers.
Landscape Estimator Responsibilities:
- Landscape Bidding
- Upload plans for both residential and commercial jobs into PlanSwift 10.3
- Perform all necessary take-off tasks
- Create a spreadsheet using Excel using counts/measurements from takeoff to compile data for bid
- Send bids for necessary plant materials via email to vendors
- As bids are returned, upload numbers into spreadsheets; confirm mark-up factors, and send them off to Manager for final bid number
- Send approved bids to General Contractors or homeowners
- Maintenance Projects
- Assist in evaluating commercial projects for any additional landscaping needs
- Gather field data
- Create proposals for maintenance projects using data gathered and submit for approval; once approved proposals are sent to property managers
- Coordinate installation; responsibilities include:
- order plant and materials
- communicate with the manager for installation
- notify property managers of timeline
- collect invoices
- communicate with billing upon project completion
- Maintenance Inspections
- Performed monthly
- Track reports and keep copies in proper file
Landscape Estimator Requirements:
- Proficient in Word, Excel and Bidding Softwares
- Highly organized
- Interpersonal Skills
- Experience in a related or similar field
