What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Estimator position at GSE Construction?
GSE Construction is looking for an estimator to head up estimates for California/West Coast municipal projects. All candidates will be considered regardless of estimating background and those with less experience will be providing coaching and mentorship. The following are desired but not required of the position:
- Reporting daily to an office in either Lathrop or Livermore.
- Experience in construction estimating, preferably water/WWTP treatment plants.
- Attending job walks and interacting with subs/suppliers throughout California.
- Engineering or math background.
- Ability to juggle multiple bids/proposals and meet exact deadlines.
- Have a sense of risk taking and quick decision making.
- Understanding of HCSS HeavyBid estimating software.
Salary based upon years of experience in construction.
