GT Sales & Manufacturing Inc is Hiring a Warehouse Lead Near Kansas City, MO
Description
The Team Leader of the GT Midwest Warehouse will direct the daily operation of the Warehouse when the Manager is not available. This person will be trained in all operating duties including picking, packaging, shipping, stock adjustments, receiving, and put away. The Team Leader may have specific duties or may serve as a floater where extra help may be needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Warehouse Manager to assure orders are filled promptly, accurately and shipped or delivered on time
- Work closely with warehouse Manager to assure that purchase orders are received promptly and accuratley
- Train and re-train employees on specific warehouse duties
- Help keep the inventory accurate through cycle counts
- Learn specific customer requirements such as labeling, advance shipping notification and certification needs
- Communicate with co-workers, supervisor, management, and customers or vendors
- Learn and adhere to all Quality Procedures, Policies and Procedures, and regulations in the GT Employee Handbook
- Become Certified in Haz-Mat IOTA shipping
- Have a current drivers license to be able to operate any delivery vehicles
Requirements
Language Skills: Effective communication both orally and in writing.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, GT's ERP system, and GT's warehouse management system
Mathematical Skills: Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all unites of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
