What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Services Technician position at Guardian Glass?
As a Technician for Product Testing and Validation (PTV), you will be responsible for conducting a wide range of mechanical, chemical, and optical tests on Guardian products and materials. This role requires executing high-volume and repetitive testing tasks with precision. You should be detail-oriented and possess experience working safely within a laboratory environment.
What You Will Do
- Perform large volume, repetitive product testing in a safe, effective, and efficient manner
- Record data accurately and provide clear communication of testing results to project coordinators
- Follow standardized test procedures
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Associates degree 2 years' experience or bachelor's degree in a STEM field
- Experience with durability and optical testing methods
- Experience working in a laboratory environment
- Experience following and writing standardized test procedures
- This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with durability and optical testing of thin films, glass substrate, and raw materials that make up glass
- 2 years of experience in a laboratory environment
- Experience with the following equipment: UV/VIS/NIR Spectrophotometers, FTIR, and brush testers
