We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience processing payroll using ADP Run for multiple companies and be proficient in handling accounts payable. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage payroll and AP functions efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for multiple companies using ADP Run, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain payroll records, including employee tax forms, direct deposit information, and wage deductions.
- Handle accounts payable tasks, including bill processing, vendor payments, and reconciliations.
- Employment Verification.
- Process and maintain I-9 forms to ensure compliance with federal employment eligibility verification requirements, including proper documentation and recordkeeping.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of wages, benefits, and deductions.
- Assist with payroll tax filings and compliance-related tasks.
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries related to payroll and AP functions.
- Communicate with employees regarding payroll-related inquiries and resolve any discrepancies.
- Work closely with the accounting team to support financial reporting and audits.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (2 years) with ADP Run for processing payroll across multiple entities.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and general accounting principles.
- Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience required, with a strong understanding of payroll processing, tax regulations, and compliance.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive data with discretion and professionalism.
- Experience handling payroll tax filings and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not required).
