Qualifications
•Must have the ability to obtain government security clearance
•Degree or certification in engineering, GIS or a related field is strongly preferred
•Previous experience in a GIS related position is preferred
•Previous experience in electric distribution systems is preferred
Responsibilities
•Assists engineering and operations department in building, maintaining, and modifying or using geographic information systems (GIS) databases
•Responsible for maintaining and accurately updating GCEC's system maps
•Manages internal databases and workflows that are utilized by multiple departments within GCEC to improve overall efficiency, reliability, and safe operations of the GCEC electric and water systems
•Utilize Futura mapping/ staking software to make additions and corrections to the GCEC mapping system
