WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Chief of Staff is an exempt position critical in supporting the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the executive team in managing and overseeing the organization's operations. This position serves as a key advisor and right-hand person to the CEO, responsible for driving strategic initiatives, enhancing organizational performance, facilitating communication across departments, fostering innovation, and ensuring smooth execution of the company's vision by overseeing projects and aligning teams to achieve organizational goals.

Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Supervises the Information Technology and Data Analytics departments.
• Guides, coaches, and evaluates performance and provides developmental opportunities to supervised staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning:
  • Partner with the CEO to develop, implement, and attain the organization's long-term strategic goals and priorities.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to align strategic initiatives with the organization's mission and vision.
  • Prepare progress and outcomes reports for stakeholders.
• Project Management:
  • Introduce and champion an agile project management framework across the agency to focus the agency on data-driven outcomes and streamlining operations.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of key projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope and budget.
• Capacity Building:
  • Lead data governance committee and efforts, including establishing system change protocols for new or evolving initiatives.
  • Plan and implement capacity-building initiatives to strengthen and streamline administrative operations.
  • Recommend training and development opportunities to support staff growth and development.
• Performance Management:
  • Lead the development and implementation of performance management systems to monitor and improve organizational performance.
  • Develop, recommend, and monitor key performance indicators to measure progress on the agency’s strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with executive team members to set performance goals and metrics for departments and staff.
  • Oversee monthly data reporting processes, ensuring required deliverables are both timely and accurate

  • Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve processes and services.
• Technology and Data Governance
  • Information Technology (IT):
    • Oversee the IT department to implement and maintain technology systems effectively.
    • Provide leadership to ensure the development and implementation of IT strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
    • Ensure the security and integrity of the organization's data and IT infrastructure.
  • Data Analytics:
    • Lead the data analytics team to provide insights and data-driven recommendations to support decision-making.
    • Develop and implement data analytics strategies to enhance organizational performance and impact.
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR) Technology:
    • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of EHR systems.
    • Ensure EHR systems meet regulatory requirements and support the organization's clinical operations.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

The Chief of Staff must have ten (10) years of experience in a senior management role. The Chief of Staff will have at least five (5) years of experience managing operations in IT, data analytics, AI, or similar technical fields for a large, complex organization.

• Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, economics, finance, IT, organizational development, or other field with relevant certifications in business and/or project management
  • Project Management, SCRUM or related certification(s), required
• Proven experience in strategic planning, project management, and organizational development
• Strong technical skills/acumen in the areas of data management and IT infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of organizational operations and funding in the nonprofit sector.
• Detail-oriented and adept at identifying issues, analyzing root causes, and developing and implementing timely solutions and managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, including prior experience engaging with and presenting to a governing board.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to influence and motivate teams to achieve goals without direct authority.
