What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct Nursing Clinical Instructor position at HAGERSTOWN COMMUNITY COLLEGE?
Responsible for the instruction of nursing students in the clinical setting. All clinical instructors must be in agreement with the philosophy of the HCC Department of Nursing. The part- time adjunct clinical instructor works closely with the full-time nursing faculty who are responsible for the course. Direct supervision provided by the Director of Nursing.
1. Arrives on the unit ahead of student to assess the unit, communicate with staff, and adjust assignments.
2. Prepares clinical assignments and conveys them to the students.
3. Assists students to gain mastery of the use of the nursing process in real-life situations.
4. Evaluates students’ written assignments.
5. Prepares a weekly clinical evaluation on each student.
6. Provides verbal and written feedback to students as indicated.
