Job Duties and Qualifications
- Under general supervision, applies basic design logic to perform engineering changes and to construct assembly drawings for complex equipment
- Works with given specifications, requirements, or instructions
- Expert in proper part modeling techniques
- Creates product structures in PDM systems
- Prepares complex design layouts and / or schematics based on rough sketches or instructions from engineering personnel
- Responsible for drafting quality in design documentation
- Checks drawings of other design personnel for completeness and accuracy as required. Aware of tolerance requirements for proper function of equipment
- Performs tolerance studies on tools for proper function of equipment
- Utilizes and exchanges expertise of the materials and methods
- Applies expertise of manufacturing, production processes, operations, and maintenance practices to designs. Incorporates reliability, HSE and Quality analysis techniques during the design process
- Job tasks impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations
