Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Property Management Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient management of our properties while providing exceptional service to our tenants and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Fair Housing regulations, excellent customer relationship management skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of property management.
Responsibilities
- Manage tenant relations by addressing inquiries, resolving conflicts, and ensuring tenant satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to leases, contracts, and tenant communications.
- Utilize property management software such as Zillow, Yardi and CMMS for efficient operations.
- Conduct regular property inspections to assess maintenance needs and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Coordinate maintenance requests and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
- Assist in the upselling of additional services or amenities to tenants.
- Provide administrative support including legal documentation preparation and office management tasks.
- Schedule maintenance and turnovers for short term rental properties.
- Actively seek new clients.
- Maintain effective phone etiquette when communicating with tenants, vendors, and team members.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and conflict management strategies.
- Proficiency in customer relationship management tools and office software.
- Familiarity with Yardi or similar property management systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing contracts and documentation.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
