Position:
Hamadeh Educational Services is seeking a School Library Aide to join our team! The Library Aide will provide support and assist the Lead Librarian in performing library activities. This position includes conducting inventory collection, assisting staff and students, and other projects as maybe assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Assists students and staff in the circulation procedures and policies of library materials
- Responsible for scheduling, setup, and maintenance of media equipment for presentations and special events
- Performs all circulation related functions including check-in and check-out materials
- Responsible for collecting overdue items and fines
- Assists in the preparation and processing of newly acquired materials
- Maintains appropriate learning environment in the library
Requirements:
- Must adhere to the qualifications, guidelines, policies, and procedures set by the Michigan Department of Education: For more information click here
- Willingness to work with students at all grade levels from K-12
- Knowledge of the Arabic language is a preferred
- Must possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Experience working in culturally diverse setting
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Flexible open minded, self driven team member
- Must be authorized to work in the US
