Requirements:

Licensure :

• Must be licensed to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Illinois

Certifications :

• ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) Certification (Required)
• CPR Certification (Required)

Knowledge :

• Comprehensive understanding of the Speech Therapy Practice Act, Rehab/Speech Therapy policies, and procedures
• Knowledge of general Speech Therapy practices, principles, and clinical guidelines

Skills :

• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills

Pay: $37.28 - $53.68 per hour

Hamilton Memorial Hospital District (HMHD) is seeking a part-time Speech Therapist to join our team. The Speech Therapist will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care to our patients. As a vital member of the rehabilitation team, you will conduct evaluations and provide treatment for patients across all age groups, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and seniors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and treat patients : Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
• Work collaboratively : Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
• Provide various services : Work with a diverse patient population, addressing speech therapy needs for a range of conditions, including neurological, developmental, and speech/swallowing disorders.
• Document and communicate : Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the EPIC electronic medical record system, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
