General Contractor in Newport News, VA is seeking a Concrete Carpenter who is committed to performing and maintaining the quality work standards established by Hampton Roads Contracting, Inc.

Description and Responsibilities:
Perform various tasks as required for General Contractor specializing in industrial construction and renovation. Essential functions include but are not limited to:
- Read and interpret prints, drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Construct wooden or pre-engineered formwork utilizing hand and power tools.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install forms, rebar, embeds, and anchor bolts.
- Install concrete embed falsework.
- Brace forms in place using nails, bolts, anchors, and dimensional lumber.
- Support concrete placement and finishing operations.
- Place and finish flat slabs, walls, and foundations.
- Form and place structural grout.
- Prepare and patch concrete with repair mortars.
- Perform other miscellaneous general construction duties.
Job requirements and qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in Concrete Construction.
- Valid Driver's License and ability to operate company vehicles.
- Enthusiastic, professional, and positive attitude.
- Strong work ethic.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work long hours.
- Ability to kneel for long periods.
- Knowledge of hand-held and power tools including power vibrators, polishers, cutting saws, and edging tools.
