What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician / Trainee position at Hand in Hand Pharmacy?
Hand in Hand pharmacy, an independent pharmacy in Chandler is looking for a Part time technician or trainee for our store.
4 hours a day (between 9AM to 5PM), 2-3 days a week. (flexible hours/days)
Responsibilities:
- Enters new and refill orders in a timely and accurate manner and process orders based on priority.
- Prescription billing to third party plans as well as discount cards and coupons.
- Coordinate shipping of prescriptions to patients.
- Provide a high level of customer service.
- Comply with all federal, state and local regulatory agencies regarding the operation of the pharmacy.
- Manage pharmacy inventory of medications.
- Assists with administrative tasks from Operations Management.

- Exceptional interpersonal skills, have a customer friendly attitude, be highly motivated to provide outstanding customer service, be proactive in assisting patients and answer phone calls.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to learn additional skills as needed.
- Experienced in typing, billing, and filling in a retail/mail order pharmacy setting.
- Self-motivated & Self-disciplined.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- Verifiable High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Licensed Pharmacy Technician /Trainee in Arizona or as required by state law
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- PTCB National Certification
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
