Requirements/Responsibilities
*Set up and stock station with all necessary supplies.*Stock inventory appropriately.*Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces) according to recipe index.*Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.*Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.*Maintain a high level of communication, understand the verbiage for call backs of menu items, and keep lines of dialogue during service productive and related to service.*Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions.*Clean up station and ensure proper storage of leftover food using proper sanitation and health standards. Wash and clean the kitchen and cooking utensils and store the equipment at the end of shifts.Ensure that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations.Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.Report kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures.
