Hanna Instruments, a worldwide leader and manufacturer of scientific instrumentation, is looking for a full-time Inside Sales Representative role in our Smithfield, RI office. The Inside Sales Representative is a new department as we are growing and developing over the upcoming months. The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for developing new business contacts within different industries and supporting the needs of the region. This role requires being on-site 5 days per week in our Smithfield, RI office.
Responsibilities for an Inside Sales Support Representative:
- Exceed minimum expectations including activities (phone calls, emails, virtual meetings, etc) and regional revenue targets.
- Demonstrable ability to target and secure new business.
- Management of inbound calls in a prompt, polite and efficient manner using agreed company greeting
- Manage website chat feature and assist with customer inquiries.
- Make outbound calls to new customers sourced from web, existing customers, and other lead sources in a prompt, polite and efficient manner.
- Maintain CRM ensuring that all relevant data is maintained.
- Lead execution –tasked with engaging lapsed and new customers.
- Work to succeed individual and team targets.
- Build strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Versatility to sell across various industries and customer types.
- Develop existing customers to generate additional revenue.
- Sales coverage for territories that are vacant.
Skills & Qualifications for a Inside Sales Representative:
- Candidate must possess relevant experience and have proven track-record in telemarketing/inside sales roles
- Self-motivation, tenacity and the drive to succeed
- Candidate must be proactive, tenacious and self-driven, and must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- At least 1-2 years working within a sales environment preferably in a proactive outbound B2B sales or business development role
- Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry/biology or related work experience preferred.
- Abillity to work 5 days a week in the Smithfield, RI office.
- Must enjoy a fast-paced working environment.
