SCALE OPERATOR POSITION

We are looking to hire a Grain Facility Operator at Hansen-Mueller! SCALE OPERATOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operating a scale which includes: weigh, grade, and sample incoming and outgoing grain. This requires moderate computer proficiency, data entry, and industrial workplace safety.
- Operating the grain elevator scale which includes weighing and grading inbound and outbound grain to issue scale tickets
- Assures that outbound grain samples from each load meet or exceed contract specifications
- Uses proper grading procedures to determine complete grade of each sample of grain
- Directs each load of grain to appropriate unload area
- Providing a high level of customer service by being courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable as well as engaging with team members
- Administrative work including running daily reports, balancing statements, and coordinating cross-checks of scale equipment
- Assures that scales and grain testing equipment are tested regularly and meet industry standards
- Able to understand complex processes and handle multi systems at one time
- Reports equipment maintenance needs to supervisor
- Follows all safety policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned by management
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, Saturday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

SCALE OPERATOR REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
- Experience in fields such as general labor, heavy equipment operator, machine operator, concrete, production, grain elevator operator, construction, grain or mill work, customer service, truck driver, or warehousing is helpful
