Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Create tool designs utilizing NX (Unigraphics) CAD system. This requires being familiar with tool design and drafting standards of various customers and military.
Knowledge of layering, file naming conventions and geometric tolerance for major OEMs.
Work with internal Manufacturing Engineers to create tool designs in support of development hardware for various customers.
Designs include; dies, gages, composite part molds, lift & transport fixtures, small machines, assembly/disassembly, fixtures for milling, drilling, water jet, marking, surface treatment, grinding and turning.
Communicate with Design Supervisor, Estimators, Manufacturing Engineers and Shop Personnel to ensure customer requirements are met.
Performs other related duties or responsibilities as requested or required, whether or not specifically mentioned in this job description.
Must be a “US Person” as defined by US Government and able to work without restriction with ITAR related data.
Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English at a functional level.
Various other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift, push, or pull at least 50 lbs.

Work Environment:
Work usually performed in a combination of office and plant setting.
Requirements:
Knowledge of Military & Commercial designs and standards. Experience with SEO 200 standards preferred.
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Tool Design or Manufacturing Engineering. Associates or Bachelor’s Degrees a plus.
NX (Unigraphics) v10 - 3D modeling experience required (2 years minimum). Experience with NX v11 or v12 a plus.
Knowledge of tooling and part materials.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
