About the Job

We are seeking an experienced and motivated accountant to join our team and become a key contributor to our continued rapid growth. The position will be located at our main office and manufacturing facility located in Bossier City, LA. The Senior Financial Accountant will report to the Senior Accounting Manager and will work with our Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cost Accounting teams. A successful candidate will be challenged by the company’s growth and its opportunities to drive further toward operations excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Own month-end/year-end close functions, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and reports in compliance with GAAP and corporate policies
• Coordinate with the logistics team to record and report inbound and outbound freight activity
• Prepare, update, and publish monthly reports utilizing data from various sources
• Track, record, and report on Capex items, including additions, disposals, and depreciation
• Track, record, and report on prepaids and various accruals
• Assist with intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and reports
• Become a backup for various items, including daily sales reports, daily bank reconciliation, rebates, and sales tax filing
• Support the external audit process with independent accounting firm

Education and Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• CPA required
• Minimum of 3-5 years of public accounting or industry experience, 7 years preferred
• Knowledge of US GAAP with financial statement preparation
• Experience with large data sets, including ability to analyze and report to various levels of management strongly preferred.
• Can work with a group through the monthly close and reporting process with varied reporting deadlines
• Enthusiasm to take on responsibilities and continue to build and develop your own knowledge and skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Desire to exceed expectations and have a flexible, can-do attitude
• "Roll-up the sleeves" approach to accomplish all necessary tasks
• Commitment to excellence, impeccable ethical standards, and integrity
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Power BI skills a plus
• Strong attention to detail
