The Universal Banker at Harford Bank is a full-time, generalist type position designed to assist the retail and business customers in multiple capacities. The UB is responsible for providing an exceptional in-branch client experience by handling every client need from transactions to sales to service. Utilizing an advice-driven conversational approach, the Universal Banker will provide solutions based on client needs and how they like to conduct their banking. Time spent in various aspects of this role will vary depending upon branch traffic and needs and the role of other teammates in the branch.
Establish new banking relationships with clients ensuring they are offered all the products and services that are appropriate given their financial needs. Retain and deepen existing client relationships through a needs-based selling approach and delivering an exceptional client experience. Provide account servicing and maintenance and assist with problem resolution for clients in accordance with all established procedures and regulations. Process transactions accurately, assist with operational activities and responsibilities, and maintain flexibility between performing teller and sales related transactions. Encourage clients to use self-service banking solutions including, ATMs, on-line, and mobile banking to enhance their service experience.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of retail banking experience required. 2 years of retail banking experience is strongly preferred.
- Minimum 1 year in face-to-face customer service experience.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of banking products and services.
- Ability to develop and expand customer relationships.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Can maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Must be able to understand and follow regulations while delivering a superior customer experience.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Proficiency in banking software and transaction processing systems.
- Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
- Obtain notary within 6 months of entering position.
