What You'll Be Doing

Job Summary: Generally responsible for partnering with the site to deliver on operational and financial commitments. You will interface heavily with the accounting back-office to stabilize and optimize all the accounting activities for the site. In addition, you will be part of the site finance pool to allow opportunities to support project, allocated based on development needs and workload.
Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Partner with multiple stakeholders (i.e.,Operations, Maintenance, Technical, Engineering, Projects, TA, etc.) to ensure delivery of financial and operational commitments safely, reliably, and in compliance with approved policies, procedures, and accounting guidelines.
- Support the implementation of a robust Business Control Framework and related performance management framework for the specific opportunity involved
- Analyze capital and/or operations expenditures while meeting monthly with site budget holders
- Work with the business or functional lines as the voice of Finance on specific projects/transactions
- Record and analyze journal entries in SAP
- Continuous improvement mindset and ability to lead through change

Ideal Background
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance Required.
Certification: No certification is required for this position.
Experience: This position requires 5 years of experience in the accounting field.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:
- Microsoft Suite, SAP, Power BI preferred
- Able to gain the confidence of various internal and external parties building on strong knowledge and understanding of the business drivers, value, and risk
- Problem solving mindset with the courage to question non-routine items by bringing analytics and insights to the table
- Ability to apply a risk-based, practical approach to problem solving, coupled with the ability to rationalize decisions with significant uncertainty and incomplete info
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to relay financial information to people with different financial backgrounds
- Ability to understand end- users needs and translate into successful delivery
- Continuous improvement mindset and ability to lead through change
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
