Hargrove Engineers Constructors is Hiring a Project Manager Near Bessemer, NC

What You'll Be Doing

The Project Manager will be responsible for Leading and participating in all aspects of Project Management for facility-approved projects for safe execution of the projects on time and on budget. Develop scope & statement of work, schedule, manage budget, approve purchases and sources selections, and manage sub-contractors and available in-house resources. Gathering requirements, maintaining customer/stakeholder involvement, participating in design reviews, providing feedback, creating an implementation plan, executing, providing quality assurance, and ensuring proper closeout. Provide detailed inspection of project implementation, coordination with the labor force, sub-contractors, and site authorities. Provide proper site permits, work authorization documents, and coordinate all affected/impacted parties.

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Responsibilities range from concept through commissioning
  • Develop and review estimates and schedules, and progress reports
  • Develop and review specifications, including design and construction criteria
  • Participate in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting
  • Perform and check calculations, specify equipment, and solve problems of complex to difficult engineering complexity
  • Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity following organization and project objectives and guidelines
  • Construction-related activities including daily inspections, red-lines, submittal review, and approval
  • Follow the Livent Capital Deployment Process (CDP) to execute the projects

Ideal Background

Education: Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Civil Engineering from an accredited university is required. Master of Science is preferred.

Certification: Professional Engineering and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) registration is highly preferred.

Experience: This position requires 5 or more years of relevant experience in engineering and project management with 10 years or more of ecperience managing projects in manufacturing setup.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee should be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.

Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here represent those employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is sometimes exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions. Adequate PPE is provided for safety and must be worn in the required places. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
