Harrison Energy Partners is Hiring a Director of Human Resources Near Little Rock, AR

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Administers human resource policies, programs and practices, including planning, organizing, developing, implementing, coordinating and directing. Duties include formulating policies and procedures, recommending policies and practices to executive management. Responsible for all human resource functions, including hiring and terminations, compensation and benefits, legal compliance, safety and risk management, performance management and HR training. Supervises HR Coordinator and Building Services in Springdale.
PRIMARY ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

It will be a condition of employment that all employees are expected to work safely and contribute to the safety of others.

COMPLIANCE

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment regulations including but not limited to: EEO, AAP, OSHA, State New Hire Reporting, E-Verify, FMLA, ADA, COBRA and I-9.

BENEFITS

  • Work with brokers to design and bid annual open enrollment options.
  • Ensure employee communications and assist with enrollment, changes and claims process.
  • Reconcile monthly benefit billing.

MANAGEMENT

  • Recommend, draft, maintain, revise employee policies, procedures and practices regarding personnel matters.
  • Serve as resource for employees and management regarding personnel issues.
  • Promote performance management. Prepare performance improvement plans as needed.
  • Prepare annual HR report for management, participating in the annual All Associates meeting regarding HR related matters.
  • Prepare agenda and lead the following meetings:
  • Leadership, Safety Committee, 401k Board, Employee Committee

HEALTH AND SAFETY

  • Promote Safety as our #1 value.
  • Work closely with our Captive partners in matters of Risk Management.
  • Respond to client Health and Safety requirements.
  • Serve as Safety Coordinator. Lead the monthly Safety Committee Meeting.
  • Manage monthly safety training activity.
  • Manage accident and incident reporting process. File claims with carriers as needed.
  • Case manage lost time workers compensation claims as needed.
  • Track statistical data to monitor loss trends year over year.

ADMINISTRATION

  • Manage recruitment efforts, posting jobs, interview scheduling and participation as requested, offer letters, background checks, and new hire orientation.
  • Manage termination processes.
  • Maintain personnel records.
  • Work closely with payroll in matters relative to personnel wages, benefits, leave policies, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Broad knowledge of such fields as advanced business administration, Human Resources, etc. Equivalent to 4 years of college, plus:

  • 5 years related experience and/or training to include a minimum of 3 years related management experience.
  • 5 years experience in Safety/Risk Management, preferably in a construction or health related environment.

Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Professional in Human Resources Certification through HRCI or SHRM.
State driver s license, auto insurance, auto registration, acceptable driving record.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification through HRCI or SHRM, preferred.
SOFTWARE SKILLS REQUIRED:
___ Basic _X__ Intermediate ___ Advanced
Specific Programs and/or skills:
Post hire HRS specialty software training as needed.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy/procedure manuals; Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to successfully manage conflict, maintain an environment of trust and open communications; as well as, foster a positive, respectful and cooperative culture.
