Assistant Dining Room Supervisor - CVI – Senior Living at Hartsfield Village (Powers Health)

Full-time: Day/evening shift. Includes nights, weekends and holidays

Qualifications and Experience:

· Some college

· Two years’ experience in a leadership role in dining services

· Knowledge of fine dining service, table set-up, and proper service procedures

· Two years’ experience with Microsoft Suites and basic office skills

· Ability to lead and motivate a team

· A demonstrated stable work history

· Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and push/pull minimum of 90 pounds

· Able to read, write and understand English

· Able to perform simple mathematical calculations

· Able to adapt to any variety of job duties and situations

· Required to work flexible hours, such as during staffing shortages and emergencies

Areas of Responsibility:

· Enter Independent Living resident and guest meals into the Cardwatch system. Maintain proper filing system for meal tickets

· Maintain daily GCI spreadsheet by recording daily meals for Assisted Living, guests, employee meals, events, etc

· Pull rotation groups on a weekly basis

· Prepare daily sheet of wait staff for next day, assign sections to wait staff for the pre and post work

· Assist with taking meals out to the residents and help dining servers as needed

· Assist with events and holiday parties

· Maintain a dining room reservation book for seating arrangements in all dining rooms.

· Maintain a watchful eye for any special cleaning needs in all dining rooms, kitchen or wait staff serving areas. Let housekeeping department know of any special needs necessary to maintain a clean facility

· Assist with training staff in dining room operations

· Covers Dining Room Supervisor position and acts in his/her capacity in his/her absence

· Other duties assigned by supervisor

Ensures residents have a pleasant dining experience by successfully training staff and implementing policies. The Assistant Dining Room Supervisor is essential to the smooth operations of the dining staff and dining services.
